To what extent does Aesthetic ‘Style’ reflect the context, audience and/or function of contemporary Graphic Design?

Is an aesthetic style a fundamental to branding design and its relationship with the consumer?

How is aesthetic style a fundamental tool in the making of a brand?

how does image align with aesthetic style and branding?

Research plan: 
To develop a better understanding of my subject, documenting an exploration of sub-topics and ideas that can be explored in the dissertation. Following this I can refine these ideas and begin to identify a working title, furthermore, I will explore seminal texts and identify sources that will aid the progression of my understanding before writing can commence. 

Exploration of sub-topics and ideas
My research began by listing potential topics and questions that I could possibly explore and begin looking into. As I'm personally interested in branding, I began investigating how Aesthetic styles link with consumers and audiences.

How do brands influence its consumers into buying products?
  • Using role models to change the physical appearance.
  • Aesthetics such as an attractive design for a product can be more appealing
  • The value of a product can help represent the consumer image.
What is the role of aesthetics in the making of a brand?
  • Help contribute and promote its brand identity 
  • adds value to the brand through packaging
What is the relationship between consumer perception and brand equity?
  • The success of the brand is determined by its ability to create value for the customers.
  • The brand’s strength and of the brand value.
